Mary Jane Style Booties

self-released in January 2008: free!

A simple pair of slippers, knit flat up to the toe part, then around on double points, this is a good beginner pattern for those looking to get a little more complex. Originally released as a free leethal blog pattern in January '08, this was slightly redesigned and re-released as a pdf in December '08, at which time a tutorial was published for making bottlecap buttons.

The stats:

Size: small, medium, large (ranging around women's shoe sizes 5-11)

Yarn: 60-80 yards of super bulky, or several strands held together

Extras: 2 buttons or bottlecaps, for decoration only

Needles: size US 11 - pair of straights and set of double pointed

Gauge: 4.5 stitches per 2 inches

Skills needed: single cast-on, knitting in the round, make 1 increase, k2tog, ssk, sk2p, and k3tog decreases

The pdf is 2 pages with color photos.
