Ninja Mitts

self-released in January 2008: $1 [also sold in kits]

Ninja mitts are what I've been calling my fingerless mitts for years, ever since my old friend Roy referred to them as ninja gauntlets. They are different from most fingerless gloves/mitts because they don't have any thumb part, giving your hands more mobility, and making them a super easy knit. Not quite as warm, but great for not freezing weather, and you can leave them on all the time and function just fine! The pattern includes some ideas for ways to customize your mitts; it's a great pattern to personalize (with ribbing, cables, stitch pattern experimentation...) - as it says in the notes, "I think of these mitts as kind of a blank canvas - be creative!"

there may be kits available in the leethal shop!

Kits include a 70 yard skein of hand-dyed recycled yarn, self-striping or otherwise variegated for a great pair of leethal ninja mitts, plus the pattern of course!

The stats:

Size: adult medium (you can adjust the size by changing needle/yarn sizes)

Yarn: 65-70 yards of worsted to aran weight (or more or less yardage if you want longer or shorter mitts)

Needles: set of US 10 double pointed

Gauge: around 3.5 stitches/inch

Skills needed: knitting in the round, make 1 increase, single cast-on or knitting on cast-on

The pdf is 3 pages.
