Hello Lee- You are brilliant and wonderful. The pointy version of your hat which just appeared on Knitty is unbelievably delightful and leaves me speechless. I may have to find a few more hours in the day to knit one for myself. I would be very surprised if this hat doesn't go viral and become one of the most knit patterns among the millions of impassioned knitters who fill the world . . . And yes, aren't short rows the best thing? Keep up the great designing.
Kind regards,
Cat

Yep... the colds this winter have been brutal! Hope you feel better soon. Lovely photos this post! I'm almost done with a waving chevron scarf done is a 100% alpaca Great Adirondack brown variegated yarn... no striping, but using 2 strands of the stuff is making some really beautiful movement and oh-so-soft. I'll try to post some pix on Ravelry when I'm done.

I'm totally with you on the winter sickness, I've been sick for over a week! UGG! Cool pattern on the orange hat.

I love that totoro hat! Can't wait to see it on you. Are you familiar with the turkish cast on? http://fluffyknitterdeb.blogspot.com/2005/10/knitting-made-easier-turkish-cast-on.html ? I found it to be easier than the figure 8 cast on.
