Nice hat – I love how it has a band that slants the other way. Great way to show off a multi-colored yarn with long repeats.

My first thought when I saw the hole at the top was “I could pick up stitches around and then decrease down…”, then I saw in the next part that's exactly what you did.

When did you do the colour change, looks smaller than a full wedge, i love how it spirals! I knit one up in single colour to see how quick it does before I make one in the colour my friend wants me to make for him.

I love this pattern. I knit one up in a couple hours, which is pretty good considering I’m not a very experienced knitter and I’ve never knit a hat before. I even tried to come up with a pattern for matching fingerless mits… I haven’t quite gotten it right yet.
